President Donald Trump's tariff policies have made Indy small store owners get creative. Some are stocking fewer products or raising prices.

Businesses and consumers have been on edge since the beginning of the year, but the latest surveys show that Trump’s policies are clearly reverberating throughout the economy, affecting inflation, hiring and many companies’ finances — all while consumers try to figure out whether to spend now or wait until later.

Nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that Trump’s tariffs would shrink the economy and add to inflation while reducing the federal deficit by $2.8 trillion.

The bill is the centerpiece of President Donald Trump's domestic agenda, but is facing GOP criticism over its fiscal impact.
