The Masters champion has had five birdies and three bogeys and looks poised to card his first under-par round at Oakmont at the sixth attempt (stretching back to the 2016 tournament). He's currently tied for 35th. Each of this quartet leads the field in at least one metric through three rounds.
The final round of the U.S. Open on Sunday at Oakmont Country Club will resume after a near two-hour delay caused by heavy rain with overnight leader Sam Burns clinging to a one-shot lead over Australian Adam Scott.
Sam Burns was forced to hit out of a soggy lie on the fairway of the 15th hole of Sunday’s final round at Oakmont after asking two rules officials to take a drop.
Scott and Burns are the only two players under par as the round restarts. Victor Hovland and Tyrell Hatton entered the pause at one-over, three shots back of Burns. There is plenty of US Open golf left at Oakmont, which means players could be coming backward even with softer conditions.
The National Weather Service reports that the weather in the Oakmont, Pennsylvania, area on Sunday is expected to feature rain showers in the morning and scattered showers throughout the day, with a high of around 76 degrees.
If you don’t have cable or a TV antenna, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the US Open for free. One option we love is Hulu + Live TV, which comes with three days free and starts at $82.99/month after. The Hulu + Live TV base plan includes USA and NBC, where the tournament is airing across four days.
