The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday called for government accommodation to be provided to outgoing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal , citing his entitlement as the national convener of a recognized national party.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday said it has written to the Centre requesting the “immediate” allotment of government accommodation for the party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP has said that Arvind Kejriwal will move out of the government bungalow he was staying for the past 10 years, within 15 days.

Slamming the AAP for demanding government accommodation for its National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the national capital, Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav called it yet another ploy of Kejriwal to stay in his “sheesh Mahal” (glass house).

Though Kejriwal resigned as chief minister of Delhi, he remains the national convenor of AAP. As per the law, national parties are entitled to office space for their headquarters and government-allotted accommodation for their president.
