The Steelers will be without starting linebackers Alex Highsmith and Cole Holcomb for their rematch with the Bengals at Acrisure Stadium.
Highsmith (pectoral) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Highsmith was unable to participate in practice throughout the week due to the pectoral injury he sustained sometime last week.
This is the third time Highsmith has won AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. He also won the award in Week 2 of the 2023 season in a win over the Cleveland Browns when he had a pick six and a strip sack. Highsmith also won the award in Week 11 of the 2022 season against the New Orleans Saints.
