The Braves took an 11-3 lead into the eighth. The Reds tied the game up with an eight-run inning. Then the Braves still won, and they didn't hit a single homer.

Suter, whose night was extended by the Reds’ rally, retired the Braves in order in the top of the ninth, and the hometown boy with a degree from Harvard was demonstrative in his celebration after sending the game to the bottom of the ninth inning.
