Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic are working together to establish a new independent AI safety organization. This organization, provisionally named the Standards Authority for Frontier AI, aims to set benchmarks for public safety pledges.

OpenAI said its AI bots may have attempted to gain unauthorized access to information held by "dozens" of organizations.
