Governor Gregg Abbott ordered state troopers to find and arrest those Democrats who left the state. But lawmakers dismissing those threats as state authorities are beyond their jurisdiction. Abbott also ordered Texas Rangers to investigate Democrats over possible bribery allegations for allegedly soliciting funds to support their efforts.
