With former UCF punter Mitch McCarthy out of eligibility, IU landed a commitment from Hawaii transfer Billy Gowers on Sunday, Jan. 11. Gowers averaged 46.2 yards per attempt as a freshman in 2025 and landed 25 of his 49 attempts inside the 20-yard line.

Cameras saw an interaction between the two players. Tucker looks to throw a punch and and had to be held back.
