OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are investigating the deaths of two people shot in Oakland on Saturday. OPD says the shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. in the area of Skyline Boulevard and Skyline Circle. Police say they found a man and a woman dead with gunshot wounds. The area is blocked off and police surrounded a car off the side of the road.
Two people were fatally shot in Oakland Saturday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department. Around 11:15 a.m., Oakland police officers responded to the 14000 block of Skyline Boulevard for the report of a shooting.
Bernardo Tamayo, 33, is believed to have been shot in one part of Oakland, then transported by his killers to the 1400 block of 100th Avenue, where he was left for dead. His body was discovered about an hour before midnight on May 24, authorities said.
One of the men allegedly served as a getaway driver, but claimed his car had been stolen right around the time of the killing.
A person was shot dead over the weekend in broad daylight in Oakland, and police said a suspect was arrested. The Oakland Police Department said Monday that the shooting happened just after 2 p.m. Saturday on Aileen Street near Telegraph Avenue in the Bushrod neighborhood of North Oakland.
