Amazon.com Inc. plans to make OpenAI’s latest artificial intelligence models available to customers, the first time the cloud computing giant has offered products from the leading AI startup.

AWS has a deep partnership with Anthropic, long offering its Claude models, one of OpenAI's biggest competitors. The cloud giant has invested extensively in Anthropic, with Anthropic training its new models using AWS infrastructure, including the cloud company's in-house Trainium chips via the Project Rainier supercluster of Trainium2 UltraServers.

It’s Christmas in August – at least, for those tech-wonks who are interested in new model releases. Today’s news is a very full stocking of brand new LLM editions from three of the biggies – OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
