The music world is mourning heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne’s death at the age of 76. Known as the godfather of metal and the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, Osbourne died just weeks after his final concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.

Jack White, Metallica, Rob Zombie, Elton John and more paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne after the Black Sabbath frontman died at 76 on Tuesday morning. Osbourne had been recovering from several spinal surgeries as well as his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He joined Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood and other famous faces in paying tribute to the Black Sabbath singer.
Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family said in a statement. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
In a statement cited by British media on Tuesday (early Wednesday), his family said he died "surrounded by love".
