Texas Longhorns freshman guard Tre Johnson met with the media via Zoom to preview Wednesday's SEC matchup with the No. 23 Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford.

With 17:07 remaining in the second half of Texas' showdown against in-state rival Texas A&M, the Longhorns faced a 22-point deficit, Texas roared back behind 24 points after intermission from star freshman Tre Johnson to escape with a 70-69 win.

He flipped the ball to Julian Larry on the right wing, who in turn found Tramon Mark isolated against Texas A&M's Wade Taylor IV on the far side. Mark, the taller man by 5 inches, took Taylor right to the rim, where he kissed the decisive basket off the glass and in to give the Longhorns a memorable 70-69 win.

After helping lead the Texas Longhorns to one of their more memorable regular-season wins in recent memory, freshman guard Tre Johnson is being honored. Johnson was named the SEC Freshman of the Week Monday,
