A new civilian-led version of the reality competition series "The Traitors" is heading to NBC with Alan Cumming as the host. The announcement was made by Cumming at the inaugural Televerse 2025 conference during "The Traitors: Reality Competition Program Nominee FYC Panel" at the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

NBC announced Thursday that “The Traitors” will open its doors to everyday people. The Peacock reality TV competition series had previously only cast celebrities for its first three seasons, the last of which aired early this year.

The Traitors is expanding its universe as a new version of the beloved game is headed to NBC. NBC announced in a Thursday, August 14, press release that an “all-new civilian version” of the Emmy-winning competition series is in the works at the network.
