KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After the Royals’ Mark Canha walked to open the ninth inning Tuesday night, White Sox reliever Cam Booser got Drew Waters to pop up in the infield. As the ball descended, rookie Chase Meidroth, playing second base, was unable to locate it, and it bounced off his hat into right field.

Yet, the Royals found a way. KC bested the White Sox bullpen with a 4-3 comeback victory at Kauffman Stadium. It took a little luck. Burke allowed one run across 6 1/3 innings. Royals outfielder Kyle Isbel drilled a solo home run in the sixth inning to cut into a two-run deficit.

Bobby Witt singled with the bases loaded to cap a crazy rally in the bottom of the ninth as the Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago White Sox 4-3.
