The Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets 31-10, extending their winning streak to four games. Dolphins running back De'Von Achane left the game in the second quarter with a rib injury. The Dolphins dominated the first quarter, scoring 21 unanswered points before the Jets scored on a punt return.

Defensively, the Dolphins were all over Jets quarterbacks Tyrod Taylor and Brady Cook. Taylor exited the game with a groin injury after throwing an interception on the Jets' second offensive possession. Miami was able to create more turnovers by recording two more interceptions on the rookie Cook, one by Rasul Douglas and the other by Ethan Bonner.

Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason has some questions about the Dolphins’ decision to turn to Troy Aikman for help with their general manager search. Aikman will act as an advisor for Miami throughout the process alongside Hall of Famer Dan Marino, who serves as the team’s special advisor to owner Stephen Ross.

The Miami Dolphins are wasting no time getting their general manager hunt under way. Back in October, after a 2-7 start to the season, the Dolphins parted ways with Chris Grier, who spent a quarter century with the franchise and was in his 10th season as GM.

By firing GM Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins are polished to give their next executives and head coach a clean slate.

His contract is set to end in March, at which point Wilson will become an unrestricted free agent.
