The day has started off on a calm and breezy note, but winter is rearing its head once again later today. After the calm morning, a low-pressure system carrying rain, ice, and snow will be pushing through the region.

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service (NWS) have issued blizzard warnings for multiple states, citing near-zero visibility, heavy snow and high winds that will make travel impossible and could leave motorists stranded as the storm intensifies.

Two more winter storms are coming into the area with several inches of snow possible. The initial round will influence a large chunk of the area as shown in the purple winter

West Virginia is forecast to be frosty, with snow and gusty winds poised to make an appearance, threatening travel plans.
