Saudi exports are rising despite escalating attacks on its infrastructure from Iran-backed militants in Yemen and Iraq.

Attacks on Saudi cities on the Red Sea by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Yemen have added to pressure on global oil supplies.

"If Iran wants to inflict maximum pain on the world economy, Saudi Arabia is the indispensable target," an ex-Saudi adviser said.

Iran said that Saudi Arabia, which is facing threats by Iran-backed Houthi rebels and Iraqi militias, called off a high-level meeting planned in Oman.

ANKARA, Sept 25 (Reuters) - A defence pact between Turkey, ⁠Saudi ⁠Arabia, and Pakistan could turn ⁠into a broader pact "for the Muslim world" that includes Iran, ​Turkey's parliament speaker said on Friday, adding that it is expected to be submitted for ratification ‌from next month.
