Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah reached a significant career milestone by claiming his 400th wicket in international cricket.

Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar said that Jasprit Bumrah was a bowler without a weakness after the latter starred with bowling on Day 2 of the Chennai Test.

Bangladesh were all out for a paltry 149 in their first innings as they trailed India by a massive 227 runs on the second day of the opening Test here on Friday. In reply to India's 376, Bangladesh could survive for just 47.1 overs and were shot out in the post-tea session, as they struggled big time against the home side's bowlers.

This broke previous record of 15 wickets set three times; once against West Indies in 1979, twice vs England in 2021.

The question around the venue was weather the master could add to his swelling tally of fivers. While the shortlived Bangladesh innings did not allow for that, Bumrah crossed the landmark of 400 international wickets on Friday in an extraordinary career spanning over six years now as he became the 10 th Indian bowler to reach the milestone.

Bumrah led India’s clinical bowling display on Day 2, collecting 4/50 as the hosts bowled the Bangladeshis out for a modest 149, collecting a massive 227-run first innings lead in the process. This despite the lack of assistance from the Chepauk wicket.
