The Seattle Sounders' first match of Leagues Cup in 2025 saw a dominant 7-0 blowout victory over defending CONCACAF Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul on Thursday night.

The Sounders were the first MLS team to reach the Leagues Cup Final in 2021, ultimately losing to Leon. Unfortunately, that was the last time that they made it that far in the competition. They advanced to the quarterfinals last year, but fell to league rival Los Angeles FC.

The second day of Leagues Cup action is here and on Wednesday, July 30 there are six more matches taking place across the United States.
