Barbara is expected to continue diminishing through Tuesday. Tropical Storm Cosme is expected to weaken through Thursday morning. Both storms are being tracked through the eastern Pacific Ocean, off the coast of southwestern Mexico, according to the NHC.

Barbara was a tropical storm in the North Pacific Ocean early Tuesday Mountain time, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory. The tropical storm had sustained wind speeds of 60 miles per hour.

Hurricane Barbara has formed in the Pacific as the first hurricane in 2025. The National Hurricane Center is also tracking Tropical Storm Cosme.
