CNN, MS NOW and Politico on Monday sued President Donald Trump’s administration days after they were barred from White House grounds, calling the selective ban — based on the content of their coverage — illegal and a “blatant violation” of the First Amendment.

A controversial aide is reportedly sparked President Donald Trump’s White House media ban. The Wall Street Journal reports that Executive Assistant Natalie Harp fed the president a stream of clips of cable anchors slamming Trump. That eventually led the president to banish CNN, Politico and MS NOW from the White House.

The Internet is roasting Trump after his White House event went nearly silent when the TV press pool stayed away.

The White House TV pool consists of five networks: ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, CNN and Fox News. Those networks coordinate a rotating schedule to secure footage of the president each day. Its members share that footage with one another and with affiliates.

FOX News chief political analyst Brit Hume argued on "Special Report" that while some media coverage of President Donald Trump has been heavily biased, banning news organizations from the White House is unlikely to change their reporting.

“Somehow Trump has something to do with this.”
