Kornet’s screen setting and offensive rebounding have produced terrific offense all year long and his rim protection is as good as ever. Given the wear and tear of a playoff grind, taking the onus of Horford/Porzingis will be pivotal to get this team back to the Finals. Kornet seems equipped to help do that this year.

Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens won't be leaving his job as the lead executive of the defending NBA champions to coach Indiana, he told the Field of 68. Stevens, 48, is an Indiana native who built his basketball reputation as the head coach at Butler from 2007-13 before coaching the Celtics from 2013-21.

Since moving to the front office, Brad Stevens has rebuilt the Boston Celtics in his image. During the 2023 offseason, Stevens swung for the fences, adding both Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to the roster.
