NEW YORK -- Jonathan Quick made 32 saves and the New York Rangers ended a four-game losing streak by defeating the Boston Bruins 2-1 at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. Quick earned his 399th NHL win and first since Nov. 30. His next victory will make him the first United States-born goalie to win 400 NHL games.

The Bruins touched down Thursday in Florida and were set to begin their moms' trip, where many of the players' moms would be attending Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

While Quick grew up idolizing former Rangers Hall of Fame goaltender Mike Richter, the league is filled with American-born goalies who were growing up while Quick dominated at the peak of his career. One of which is Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman, who played opposite Quick on Thursday.
