DOHA, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- A Qatari Air Force plane carrying 31 tons of food aid landed in the Syrian capital of Damascus on Thursday as part of the country's ongoing air bridge initiative to support the Syrian people, the Qatari Foreign Ministry announced.

Qatar Airways will offer three weekly flights between Qatar and Damascus, Syria, from Tuesday (7 January).
