Mirra Andreeva, 17, defeats former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina to reach the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

Russian teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva continued her giant-slaying exploits at the Dubai Tennis Championships by upsetting Kazakhstani sixth seed Elena Rybakina 6-4 4-6 6-3 in the semi-finals on Friday.

Teenager Mirra Andreeva has become the youngest player to reach the Dubai Championships final after beating Elena Rybakina 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. The 17-year-old Andreeva trailed 3-1 in the third set before winning the last five games to reach her second tour final.

An inspired Mirra Andreeva beat world number two Iga Swiatek for the first time in her career with a dominant 6-3 6-3 victory on Thursday at the Dubai Duty Free Championships where the Russian 17-year-old set up a semi-final clash with Elena Rybakina.
