The San Antonio legislator mobilized veterans and volunteers to help in Kerr County after the July 4 flood that killed more than 130 people statewide.

The Community Foundation of Lincoln County has invested nearly $5 million into the community since 2006. This year, it's hoping to help even more people after the catastrophic floods last week.
