The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves completed their pre-game ceremonies but then entered a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game will not start at its originally-scheduled first-pitch time of 7:15 p.m.

The Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds meet Saturday in the MLB Speedway Classic from Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.

For all the planning and money and logistical achievements that went into staging the Speedway Classic, none of that guaranteed the weather would cooperate. It hasn't on Aug. 2, and we're in a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway.
