Russian forces have continued to advance in the northern Ukrainian region of Sumy, bringing the region’s capital within range of their drones and artillery, according to Ukrainian officials and analysts.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned a Russian attack on the city center of Sumy, saying that's all one needs "to know about Russia’s ‘desire’ to end this war.”

On the morning of June 3, the Russian army struck the center of Sumy. Three casualties and dozens of wounded have been reported, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration. About 20 people were injured in the morning Russian strike on Sumy - among the wounded is a 17-year-old child.
