Hot off his acclaimed turn in Apple’s The Studio, which earned him his first Emmy nomination, Ike Barinholtz has entered talks to play Elon Musk in Luca Guadagnino’s new AI-themed feature Artificial for Amazon MGM Studios, Deadline has learned.

Following his recent Emmy nomination for Apple TV+’s The Studio, Ike Barinholtz is reportedly in negotiations to portray tech magnate Elon Musk.

Barinholtz just landed an Emmy nomination for playing Sal Saperstein in “The Studio,” a Hollywood satire starring and created by Seth Rogen. He’s best known on the small screen for “Eastbound & Down,” “The Mindy Project” and “The Afterparty” and on the big screen projects for projects such as “Blockers” and “Neighbors.”
