New York Yankees players and employees will finally be able to sport beards, the team announced on Friday, adjusting a long-standing, one-of-a-kind grooming policy.

The New York Yankees announced Friday that a long-standing policy that prohibited players from having facial hair is no more. General partner Hal Steinbrenner announced the change allowing players and coaches to “have well-groomed beards moving forward.”
