Tacoma police detectives were investigating a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in the city’s Eastside neighborhood that left a woman dead. Neighbors in the residential area of East 37th and Spokane streets reported to authorities at about 7:49 p.m. that the victim was lying in a roadway, Tacoma Police Department Sgt. John Correa said.

A woman has died after she was hit and killed by a car in Tacoma on Wednesday night. Police were called to E 37th Street and Spokane Street around 8 p.m. for reports of a crash. When they arrived, they found a woman lying in the road.
