As it heads into its ninth year on the market, the Volvo XC60 is getting fresh updates. The mild rework is aimed at keeping Volvo's best-seller competitive in an increasingly competitive market.

Volvo has not announced any powertrain updates for the XC60. The current U.S. offerings include a 247-hp gas-powered B5 variant and a 445-hp plug-in hybrid T8 model.

Volvo says the 2025 model year XC60 B5 AWD needs 6.5 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour). The XC60 Hybrid, otherwise known as T8 AWD Plug-In Hybrid, is rated at 4.5 seconds.
