RALEIGH, N.C. -- Frederik Andersen will not play for the Carolina Hurricanes against the New Jersey Devils in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference First Round series at Lenovo Center on Tuesday (7:30 p.m. ET; FDSNSO, MAX, MSGSN, TBS, TVAS2, SN360).

The Carolina Hurricanes are adding some insurance in net. The team recalled goalie Spencer Martin on Tuesday as starter Frederik Andersen deals with an undisclosed injury suffered midway through Game 4 after a collision with Devils forward Timo Meier that forced him to exit the game.
