The FBI says more than 500 shell casings have been found around the scene of last week's shooting near the CDC headquarters in Atlanta. On Tuesday, authorities released the 911 call from the suspect's father following the shooting.

The man accused of killing a police officer while shooting at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) headquarters in Atlanta had previously been reported to police for suicidal thoughts and launched the deadly attack with his father’s weapons to send a message against COVID-19 vaccines,

The suspect’s father contacted police and identified his son as the possible shooter, the law enforcement official told AP.
