Jakorian Bennett was a pleasant surprise for the Las Vegas Raiders last season. After getting benched due to poor play as a rookie, he stepped up and was the team's best cornerback before getting hurt.

The Raiders could put a championship contending team around Maxx Crosby if they trade for Micah Parsons, and Christian Wilkins is making that hard.

“This franchise has a Commitment to Excellence on and off the field,” the Raiders said in a statement after Wilkins’ release. “With no clear path or plan for future return to play from Christian, this transaction is necessary for the entire organization to move forward and prepare for the new season.”
