Bubba Wallace​ became the first Black driver to win on Indianapolis Motor Speedway's 2.5-mile oval, beating out Kyle Larson on Sunday in the Brickyard 400.

With his first crown jewel victory in the NASCAR Cup Series, Bubba Wallace locked into the 2025 playoffs by winning the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Ty Gibbs is the first ever NASCAR In-Season Challenge winner. At the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, Gibbs just needed to finish higher than Ty Dillon, and he did just that, placing 21st as Dillon placed 28th. With the win, he took home the In-Season Challenge prize of $1 million.

Larson and the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet team found themselves on the right side of strategy calls nearly all day and survived a rain delay and a pair of overtime restarts to come home second on Sunday in the Brickyard 400. Larson entered the event as the defending winner.

The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the second consecutive year after a three-season layoff. The green flag drops on the Brickyard 400 at IMS at 2 p.m. ET. Kyle Larson is the defending champion of this event and is one of the top betting favorites to win the race.

Chase Briscoe has won five poles this season, including at the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola 600 and now the Brickyard 400.

While some don't view Indianapolis as a crown-jewel race in NASCAR, it is still one of the most famed tracks that the sport visits. The purse for the Brickyard 400 is less than other marquee races this season at Daytona ($30,331,250) and Charlotte ($13,651,450), but this is still considerably higher than last season's $9,596,601 payout.
