Jimmy Swaggart Ministeries announced his death online on Tuesday, saying that he had "finished his earthly race and entered into the presence of His Savior, Jesus Christ."

The Pentecostal preacher and pioneer of televangelism had been in critical condition at a Louisiana hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest June 15.
