Singer Sean Kingston was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison over his $1 million wire fraud trial in South Florida, according to the Associated Press and NBC South Florida. The 35-year-old, whose real name is Kisean Anderson,

Last March, Kingston was convicted by a federal jury of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.

Sean Kingston, whose mother recently received a five-year federal prison sentence following her and her son’s fraud convictions, is asking for his own sentence to be limited, at least in part, to house arrest.
