White House announces names of US delegates heading to Trump-Putin talks – Reuters
The White House has released the names of all members of the delegation accompanying US President Donald Trump on his trip to Alaska, where he is set to hold his first meeting of this term with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin in the evening.
President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet face-to-face with Vladimir Putin on Aug. 15 in an effort to end the Ukraine war.
It was not initially clear if Putin would speak to the press with Trump after the meeting, but the White House has since confirmed that both leaders will participate in the briefing.
It will mark the first time the two leaders will meet in person since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. Here’s how their other meetings went.
