The Athletics will play in West Sacramento for the next three seasons as their plans to move to a new ballpark in Las Vegas are underway.

The A's will be playing in Sacramento because the ownership group — led by John Fisher — made the controversial decision to leave Oakland and relocate to Las Vegas. The stadium in Las Vegas is expected to be ready in 2028, and Sacramento will serve as the home base during construction ( assuming it happens ).
