Tea, Hack and women dating
Digest more
Tea, founded by Sean Cook, was designed as a women-only app for users to document their negative experiences with men and warn other women of potential danger. According to Tea's website, 10 percent of its profits are donated the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
Tea, an app where women can swap information about men, went viral this week, riding a flood of attention on social media. It soon rocketed to the No. 1 slot in the Apple App Store’s lifestyle category, and then, promptly, the app was hacked.
Roughly 72,000 images, including 13,000 user selfies submitted for account verification prior to February 2024, were accessed in the breach.
