The US Supreme Court has rejected an attempt to revive the long-running copyright trial over Ed Sheeran's hit song Thinking Out Loud. On Monday, the court refused to hear an appeal from Structured Asset Sales (SAS), which claimed Sheeran's song copied Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On, in which it has a copyright interest.

Despite a plea from one of the people accusing Ed Sheeran of copying Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," the Supreme Court will not be taking on a copyright case around Sheeran's hit, "Thinking Out Loud.

The Supreme Court will not be getting it on or thinking out loud. The justices on June 16 rejected a copyright challenge to Ed Sheeran’s hit “Thinking Out Loud” brought by a partial owner to the rights of Marvin Gaye’s 1973 classic “Let’s Get It On.
