Wake Forest Law School vs the university : r/lawschooladmissions
It's because the U.S. News rankings are pretty worthless beyond the T20. Regardless of rankings, you have better outcomes coming out of schools ranked lower than Wake Forest like BC, BU, Emory, Fordham, GW, Notre Dame, UC Irvine, Illinois, and UNC. Wake Forest is a good school in its region, but it is significantly over-ranked at 22.

Mar 12, 2021 · wake doesn’t place many in big law (under 18% in their most recent employment numbers). I’ve heard mid law is also a bit of a misconception and much harder to achieve than people think. Wake is a great school but definitely don’t go in expecting big law or midlaw!

I go to wake and I’d say the extra 20K is maybe worth it if you want, but job placement is basically the same. I’m not sure why you think wake is so easy…it’s the first year of law school my friend! Wake seems more laid back to visitors because all the students and professors know each other and it’s late in the year. But it is intense.
