A Manchester foodie threw up after attempting to conquer a 9,000-calorie chilli challenge. Jonny Adams took on the mammoth meal at Cattleman’s Steakhouse. It consisted of 1kg of chilli, rice, chips, garlic bread, nachos, cheese and salad and weighed a whopping 4kg altogether. The 42-year-old enlisted the help of a friend to take on the task, but the pair gave up with just 0.5kg left. The steakhouse in Paignton, Devon, charges £50 to take part and gives solo diners one hour to complete the feast
