MADNESS - Madness Almost 40 years have passed since Madness released their debut single, 'The Prince', on The Specials' own 2 Tone label in September 1979, and their public profile remains just as strong. Starting life in '76 as The (North London) Invaders, formed by Mike Barson, Chris Foreman and Lee Thompson, two years later the band had become Morris and the Minors before finally switching to Madness. Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson, Mark Bedford, Chas Smash and Dan Woodgate also joined the band at
