UC Merced welcomed a sea of blue and gold as nearly 2,400 students were celebrated at the annual Scholars Bridge Crossing event. The campus tradition serves as a symbolic start to the academic journey for first-year and transfer students. The students crossed Scholars Bridge – cheered on by members of the campus community – and passed through the Beginnings sculpture.
